Condolence & Memory Journal

We are so sorry for your loss, Mrs. Hutcheson and Family. We got to know Guil when he started attending some of the birding trips offered by the North Alabama Birdwatchers Society (NABS). He also helped us on a few bird counts conducted for Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. I sometimes felt for him, with his bad ankles, wanting to see more than his limited mobility would allow. In spite of that he was always upbeat and happy just to be out and about. He also was a good conversationalist, interested in a variety of subjects and with a great sense of humor. He recently sent me a picture of a falcon for which he wanted help in identifying -- it was of the type that used gas, vintage 60s model, firmly wedged in a tree :). Guil was a fine person, a gentleman and a scholar, we'll miss him. Our hearts and thoughts are with you.
