ALBIEN LEON TAYLOR

July 23, 1929 – March 29, 2017

Albien L. Taylor, 87, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Magnolia Trace in Huntsville surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Jewel Henry Taylor; and a brother, Vernon Taylor.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Shizue Negishi Taylor; three sons, Patrick A. Taylor (Debra) of Hampton Cove, Homer Taylor (Dorothy) of Gainesville, GA; and James Taylor (Linda) of Huntsville; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; two nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

“Al”, as most friends called him, loved life and family. He was a Civil Engineer and retired from the Huntsville branch of the Army Corp of Engineers after working both in Japan and Korea over his career. He was a member of Twickenham church of Christ for many years working with the mercy ministry, but for the last several years he was a member of Mayfair church of Christ where he really enjoyed being in the Lifesavers bible class and the men’s Wednesday morning Bible Class. Al Taylor was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

The family is planning a private memorial service at Faith Memorial Park in Madison, AL on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Please sign the guest registry at www.valhallafunerals.com.
